Happy Birthday to me! Today I turned 34 and my wonderful husband made me my traditional birthday supper: marinaded wild grouse over a bed of wild rice with asparagus and brussel sprouts, AND a cheese cake with strawberries for dessert! Thanks to my boys for another great birthday!!

About us...

How often are the mom's missing in the photos? Too often! We are most often the eyes behind the camera capturing our children - not in them ourselves. Inspired by Skye's blog, we decided to commit to taking weekly pictures of ourselves (the mamas) and our kids (maybe whole families too, but at least one kid), and inviting all sorts of people we know to do the same. We will all post a weekly photograph per family. They may not be pretty (maybe our 5 year old is taking the picture this week), they may not be inspired (maybe dad is taking the picture), but they will be taken and saved for prosperity!

Posting Guidelines for Participants

You got a strange email from Brooke or Emily asking you to join and you want to play? Great! The rules? Really, only 1 - post a picture a week that has both you and a child in it. Include all your kids - great! Include friends? Fantastic. Hubby or partner included? Fine by us. The idea is to document our lives with our kids for a year. So use your own creativity. We realize that the quality of these may suffer a bit - but it is all in fun. It is ok if the 4 year old is taking the picture. It is also ok to post from your phone! Have fun with it!

Oh and just an administrative thing - please "tag" your photos with 1) your name and 2) what number you are at in the 52 week journey(example the 2nd picture would be 2/52). That way we can all search by the week or the mama.
